We are a private nursery, with custom built rooms and facilities to provide the optimum environment for the children to learn and develop. We have two garden areas to allow the children explore the outside daily.
We are located within the historic town of Chertsey, next to Gogmore Park and have regular visits with the children to explore nature and the wildlife.

The Nursery
Gogmore Lane Nursery is an independent nursery in Chertsey. The nursery promotes a homely feel giving each child a secure and warm environment in which they can flourish. The nursery owners, Katie and Samantha have extensive experience supporting early years children; and of running nurseries, preschool, with teaching childcare qualifications. They have over 40 years experience combined. Katie and Samantha both own other successful Early Years settings in Walton on Thames and Esher, all having Good and Outstanding Ofsted gradings.
The nursery team consists of fun, caring and enthusiastic staff who are trained and experienced in early years and first aid. Gogmore Lane Nursery feels that the staff play a crucial part in supporting the children in their relationships, learning and development within the EYFS.
Our aims and values
Gogmore Lane Nursery aims to provide high-quality childcare and education to enhance all children in their development, happiness and individual needs during their early years. We feel that in order for children to thrive they need an enriching and stimulating environment, using the Early Years as a blue print to support future learning. All children are individuals and are supported according to their needs and abilities to reach their full potential.
Once the children have had their 3rd birthday they will move into the Preschool room, the following term. We support the older group in preparing for school, focusing on pencil control, phonics, numbers, basic sums and high-frequency words.
Curriculum
Gogmore Lane Nursery believes in the importance to value all children as competent learners. Children learn best through playing, exploration of the world around them and their interactions with others.
The EYFS supports children's curiosity to understand the world around them and helps them discover that learning is fun and interesting. Gogmore Lane Nursery promotes and implements the 7 areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
All children are observed to monitor their development, we use an online learning journal that families may access to see what their child has been doing at nursery.
